Barings' Isidori joins Threadneedle to run Lat Am fund

Barings' Daniel Isidori is joining Threadneedle to take on the management of the £1.2bn Latin America fund.

Jeremy Podger, the head of global equities, had been running the fund following the departure of former manager Julian Thompson, who left to join AXA at the end of last year. Isidori joins the Asia ex Japan and global emerging market equities team as a fund manager, reporting to team head Vanessa Donegan. At Barings he co-managed a $1bn Latin America active equity fund. Prior to joining Barings in 2008, he worked at HSBC Asset Management where he managed a $200m Brazil active equity fund and an Argentinean active equity fund.
